Good Things Take Time

As many of you know I started this business in March 2023 in my dining room. Thanks to my amazing customers, I quickly (and thankfully) outgrew that space. Inventory began to take over our master bedroom. My sweet husband installed racks and shelves to help keep me better organized. This lasted for several months.
One night, while getting ready for bed, I told him that I wanted "our" space back. Everywhere I looked there were boxes of inventory, steamers, hanging racks, etc. The next morning we began making phone calls regarding rental property in our area. We kept hitting dead ends and after a few weeks I began to allow my negative thoughts to take over. I worried that the lack of rental property was a sign that I wasn't doing what the Lord had planned for me. Dramatic? Maybe a little. Throughout the next week I kept getting the message, "Good things take time." I woke up to this saying over and over again. But why?
Fast forward a few weeks and my husband and I were on our way to an appointment when we passed the cutest tiny house ever. It had been converted into a store and It. Was. Adorable! My light bulb came on. I immediately pulled out my phone and began looking into this adventure. By the end of that day we had a consultation with a portable building representative the next morning.
After meeting and designing the perfect tiny house, I signed the papers and construction began. Though construction was a little slow (good things take time) it was finally happening and we were updated weekly. After 8 weeks, what we affectionally refer to as "The Bird Nest," was delivered. There was still some interior work left to be done and I knew the best man for the job...my husband.
He has been working tirelessly ensuring that every detail is to my satisfaction. He has wired the electrical, hand stained every ceiling board, painted each individual piece of shiplap and laid the beautiful flooring. He has done this while working a very demanding full time position AND during hunting season. The transformation has taken a little longer than I had hoped...because good things take time.
I am excited to say that my grand opening is coming up on Friday, February 2, 2024!! Though online orders are the heart and soul of HHCC, I am happy to have a space for you to shop in person, a place to display all of these beautiful clothes and to finally have a fitting room! It has been a journey to get to this point, 11 months to be exact but, as I have learned, good things really do take time.
XOXO,
Kaydee
